A little bit about your hosts.

Our meet, cute ...

Emma and Nicole first met in usual millennial fashion, when Emma slid into Nicole’s DMs.

They became fast friends and met up for wine in Brixton to talk about work but immediately formed a kinship when the conversation quickly turned into sharing stories about their backgrounds and identities.

It was then they decided they wanted to start a podcast to create a community they would’ve benefitted from when they were growing up.

Since then they have recorded 5 seasons of the audio podcast, created almost 90 episodes with guests such as Mel B, Jordan Stephens, Afua Hirsch, Emma Dabiri, Melissa Hemsley, Anton Ferdinand and more. They have produced video episodes with special guests in special places (including but not limited to - a caravan, a festival and Herne Hill’s famous Bunhead Bakery). They have performed the podcast live with Soho House, and Spirit Land Kings Cross and created opportunities for the mixed up community to get together through supper clubs and more.

Last but not least in July 24 they published their co-authored book ‘The Half Of It - exploring the mixed race experience’ with Harper Collins.
